Lebanon and Gaza War

More than 10,000 missing under the rubble in the Gaza Strip

Falcon powers – The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said its estimates indicate that there are more than 10,000 Palestinians on the list of the missing under the rubble in the Gaza Strip, and there is no way to find them due to the difficulty of retrieving them and keeping them in graves that do not bear any distinctive marks, at a time when there is an absence of any international humanitarian movement to assist in their retrieval.

The Euro-Mediterranean Monitor explained that the families of victims of the deadly and destructive military attacks launched by Israel, approaching their tenth month, are facing huge challenges in retrieving the bodies, the lack of equipment and heavy machinery for civil defense teams, and the Israeli prohibition of bringing in any equipment from outside the Gaza Strip.

The Euro-Mediterranean documented recurring patterns of the Israeli approach based on preventing and obstructing the retrieval of Palestinian victims and the missing from under the ruins of destroyed homes, buildings and civilian property, including repeatedly targeting civil defense teams, rescue teams and families trying to retrieve the bodies of victims, preventing the entry of fuel necessary for the remaining vehicles and heavy machinery, and preventing the entry of equipment.
