FALCON POWERS – The Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, stated on Thursday that what happened on Tuesday was not just an assassination, but an aggression by bombing a suburb in the capital Beirut and targeting civilian, not military, buildings.
The key points from Nasrallah’s speech following the assassination of the Hezbollah leader Fuad Shaker in an air raid on a building in the southern suburb of Beirut, and the assassination of the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, in the Iranian capital Tehran:
- “I extend my condolences on the great martyrdom and the serious assassination that led to the martyrdom of the great leader, the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, our dear brother Ismail Haniyeh and his companion, in the name of our resistance and the families of our martyrs, to our brothers in Hamas, the Qassam Brigades, the Palestinian resistance factions, and the patient and sacrificing Palestinian people.”
