Nasrallah: Our response to the attack on the Dahiyeh and the martyrdom of Mr. Mohsen and civilians is decided.

FALCON POWERS – The Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, stated on Thursday that what happened on Tuesday was not just an assassination, but an aggression by bombing a suburb in the capital Beirut and targeting civilian, not military, buildings.

The key points from Nasrallah’s speech following the assassination of the Hezbollah leader Fuad Shaker in an air raid on a building in the southern suburb of Beirut, and the assassination of the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, in the Iranian capital Tehran:

  • “I extend my condolences on the great martyrdom and the serious assassination that led to the martyrdom of the great leader, the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, our dear brother Ismail Haniyeh and his companion, in the name of our resistance and the families of our martyrs, to our brothers in Hamas, the Qassam Brigades, the Palestinian resistance factions, and the patient and sacrificing Palestinian people.”
  • “The enemy’s goal was to assassinate the great jihadist leader, Mr. Mohsen, and it targeted a building in Haret Hreik in the southern suburb of Beirut, and the aggression led to the martyrdom of 7 and the wounding of dozens.”
  • “We condole and congratulate the families of the martyrs for the loss of their loved ones and their attainment of the honor of martyrdom, for the noblest death is to be killed for the sake of God.”
  • “The enemy gave an address for his aggression on the southern suburb of the capital Beirut and attacked a civilian area, killing civilians, including women and children, and targeting a great leader in the resistance, claiming it was a reaction.”
  • “This is not a reaction to what happened in Majdal Shams, but this is a claim and misleading, and it is part of the war and the battle.”
  • “In the Majdal Shams incident, a rocket fell in the town, and we issued a statement denying our responsibility, and we have the courage that if we had bombed a place, we would have taken responsibility, even if it was a mistake, and we have precedents in this matter.”

    • “Our internal investigation confirms that we have no connection to what happened in Majdal Shams, and the enemy has appointed himself as a prosecutor, judge, and executioner. Israel cannot accept the hypothesis that the cause of what happened in Majdal Shams was an Israeli interceptor missile.”
    • “Accusing us of what happened in Majdal Shams is unjust and unacceptable, and aims to exonerate the ‘army’ of the enemy from what happened. The goal of accusing the resistance of what happened in Majdal Shams is sectarian strife.”
    • “Thanks to the awareness and firm positions of the noble Druze Unitarian leadership, the sedition was quelled and disrupted. I thank the political and spiritual leadership of the noble Druze Unitarian community for their stance… I extend my condolences to the families of the martyrs in Majdal Shams.”
    • “The aggression on the Dahiyeh is not a response to what happened in Majdal Shams, but is part of the aggression and battle on its northern front. We are paying the price for our support for Gaza, and this is not the first price, as hundreds of our martyrs, including leaders, have risen, and we accept the price of the martyrdom of Mr. Mohsen and those with him, and we pay it because we entered this battle from a position of faith and by all its criteria.”
    • “We were not surprised, and we will not be surprised by any price we may have to pay in this battle.”
    • “We are facing a major battle in which the issues have gone beyond the matter of support fronts. We are in an open battle on all fronts and have entered a new phase.”
    • “The enemy thinks that they can kill martyr Haniyeh on Iranian soil and that we will remain silent? Iran sees the assassination of Haniyeh as an assault on its national security and sovereignty, and most importantly, the assassination is seen as an assault on honor.”

Nasrallah’s message to the Israelis: “Laugh a little, and you will cry a lot, because you do not know what red lines you have crossed and where you have gone and gone.”

    • “We have entered a new phase in all our support fronts, and its escalation depends on the reactions of the enemy.”
    • “The enemy must await the wrath and vengeance of the honorable ones in this nation.”
