Falcon powers – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has affirmed that the government is seeking to achieve its objectives in the war through ongoing political and military pressure.
Netanyahu emphasized the systematic progress towards achieving these goals, including the return of the “kidnapped.” He stated, “I will not respond to all the allegations directed at me by the opposition, and Hamas is currently under pressure due to its insistence on continuing military pressure, contrary to what others have requested.
They said that Hamas is an idea, and I said we will continue to destroy the movement.”
Netanyahu added that some have claimed that continuing the war and military pressure will affect relations with the United States, but he has insisted on his position.
He affirmed that increased military pressure is leading to more and more concessions from Hamas in the negotiations, adding, “If we had relied on the positions and statements of the opposition deputies, we would not have achieved any of the war’s objectives.”
On the other hand, the Israeli website “Walla” reported that Netanyahu is looking for ways and alternatives to avoid the formation of an official commission of inquiry into the failures of October 7th.
The website explained that Netanyahu is considering enacting a law that would allow the formation of an investigative committee whose members are chosen by a parliamentary majority in the Knesset, rather than the President of the Supreme Court.
