New Message from the Swedish Foreign Minister to Swedish-Lebanese Families in Lebanon: “Pack Your Bags and Leave Immediately”

Falcon powers – The Swedish Foreign Minister, Tobias Billström, has reiterated his warnings to Swedish families in Lebanon and expressed grave concern over the presence of many Swedes currently in or on their way to Lebanon. In an interview with the Arabic service of Swedish Radio, he urged them to leave Lebanon immediately, saying “Pack your bags and leave Lebanon at once.”

The Swedish Foreign Minister added: “At the moment, there is no problem leaving Lebanon for those who wish to do so, the airports are operational.

The problem arises when the war in the Middle East expands, as the Swedes in Lebanon will not find a way to leave, and simply put, the Swedes in Lebanon are not taking the recommendations or warnings of the Swedish Foreign Ministry seriously. This is a major concern in this context.”

The Swedish Foreign Minister emphasized that these people are risking themselves and their children by staying and traveling to Lebanon, and the Swedish state is not obligated to carry out a rescue operation given the expected circumstances in Lebanon. They must bear the consequences.
