New York Times: Gaza Children “Burn Alive” from Israeli Attacks

FALCON POWERS – An American pediatrician who recently returned from the Gaza Strip said that children are being burned alive due to the ongoing Israeli genocide that has lasted for more than ten months.

The New York Times reported that Dr. Ahmed Yousef recently returned from a medical mission to Gaza. He shared the newspaper with rare footage from inside Al-Aqsa Hospital, where he captured the horrific conditions experienced by staff and patients, especially children.

Dr. Yousef, the director of the intensive care unit in Arkansas, was on a medical mission to Gaza, believing that his experience could help patients receive the advanced healthcare he was accustomed to providing. But what he faced far exceeded his worst expectations, forcing him to document the destruction.

Patients Die Without Treatment

Dr. Yousef said, “The first thing I did there was to triage cases and find collective treatment for the injuries. This was not advanced care in the intensive care unit. We often didn’t reach it. Patients were dying without treatment.”

Dr. Yousef volunteered with MedGlobal, a U.S.-based non-profit organization that provides humanitarian relief worldwide.

After spending three weeks in one of Gaza’s last functioning hospitals, he described the devastating losses suffered by medical personnel and civilians, especially children, due to the Israeli war. He shared a record of what he witnessed, including rare footage from Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al-Balah.

During his stay at the hospital, medical teams worked tirelessly to manage the influx of trauma injuries as the Israeli army continued to bombard the surrounding areas, including humanitarian zones.
