FALCONPOWERS – North Korea has reportedly tested a “very large warhead” designed for deployment on strategic cruise missiles, according to official media reports on Saturday. The country also launched a new type of anti-aircraft missile, as stated by the official Korean Central News Agency.
The North Korean Central News Agency stated that “the Missile Administration of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea conducted a test of a very large warhead designed for the strategic cruise missile +Hwasal-1 RA-3+.”
It was further mentioned that North Korea also tested the launch of a new anti-aircraft missile, the “Pyoljji-1-2,” over the West Sea of Korea on Friday afternoon. The agency indicated that a “specific goal” was achieved through the test, without providing further details.
The agency reported that both tests were part of the “regular activities of its administration and affiliated defense science institutes.”
