On the Seventh Day of Sukkot: Temple Mount Stormings and Prayers at the Western Wall

FALCON POWERS – Settlers continued their extensive incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Western Wall during the final days of the “Sukkot” festival, amidst widespread closures in the city of Jerusalem.

On the seventh and last day of Sukkot, 678 extremists entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque, led by senior rabbis and officials from “Temple groups.” The settlers performed public prayers inside Al-Aqsa, which included prostration, singing, and clapping.

The Israeli occupation police accompanied the groups entering Al-Aqsa, providing them protection for their prayers while imposing restrictions on Muslim access. Random restrictions were applied, preventing elderly individuals and young people, both boys and girls, from entering, demanding that they return to Al-Aqsa only after 3 PM, following the conclusion of the incursion periods.

Occupation forces were deployed across the Al-Aqsa courtyards and particularly along the route of the settlers, preventing elderly worshippers from sitting in the settlers’ path.

At the gates and pathways of Al-Aqsa, the occupation authorities set up barriers and forces, closing some streets and main intersections surrounding the Old City, specifically “the route to the Lions’ Gate and Silwan,” which lead to the Western Wall.

Hundreds of thousands of settlers prayed at the Western Wall, performing the “Hoshana Rabbah” prayers on the last day of Sukkot, raising plant offerings. This year’s prayers were dedicated to “Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip and soldiers in the sector.” Alleged Temple groups stated that this year’s incursions during Sukkot were the highest, calling for continued incursions into Al-Aqsa.

Tomorrow, Thursday, is the holiday of “Simchat Torah,” and “Temple organizations” have called for incursions into Al-Aqsa on this day. The “Al-Aqsa Flood” campaign began last year on the dawn of the day following the “Simchat Torah” holiday.
