Falcon powers – The British authorities indicated that more than a thousand irregular migrants have arrived on the shores of the United Kingdom from northern France since May 4 to May 13. This is amid the continued security campaigns and the arrest of rejected asylum seekers for the purpose of sending them to Rwanda.
The British authorities recorded the arrival of more than 1,000 irregular migrants to the shores of the United Kingdom between May 4 and Monday, May 13, noting that the migrants’ boats did not stop during that period.
This brings the number of arrivals to more than 9,400 migrants since the beginning of the current year, while 29,437 migrants arrived in the United Kingdom in 2023. The BBC published details about the arrival of 95 migrants on Monday, May 14, and 14 other migrants the day before, May 15.
On the French side
As the French authorities continue their efforts to intercept migrant boats departing from northern France towards the shores of the United Kingdom, the French coast guard carried out various rescue missions in the past few days. They rescued 49 migrants according to a post by the Maritime Police Prefecture on May 13, and 19 other migrants on May 14.
