Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Criticizes Biden over His Remarks on Human Flesh Consumption

Falconpowers – Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape has stated that it is unacceptable to associate his country with the consumption of human flesh, following remarks made by US President Joe Biden about his relative, who he claimed was not found due to people consuming human flesh.

Earlier, Biden mentioned that his relative, Ambrose Finnegan, who died in a plane crash in Papua New Guinea during World War II, was not found due to people consuming human flesh.

However, CNN noted that Biden’s statement differs from the official account provided by the Pentagon, which stated that Finnegan’s plane had to make a forced water landing off the coast of an island for unknown reasons.

Quoting Marape, Australian television channel SBS News reported, “President Biden’s comments might have been a slip of the tongue, but my country does not deserve to be classified in this way, and it should not be associated with the consumption of human flesh.”

The channel also mentioned that Papua New Guinea’s lands are filled with unexploded ordnance and other remnants of World War II. In this regard, Marape called on the US administration to prioritize the cleanup of his country’s lands to determine the fate of missing American servicemen, such as Biden’s relative.

It is worth noting that Joe Biden, aged 81, is the oldest president in the history of the United States.

His frequent slips of the tongue and public mistakes have become the target of sharp criticism from his predecessor and primary political rival, Republican Donald Trump, as well as among Democrats.

Several prominent politicians have repeatedly called on Biden to withdraw from the electoral campaign, citing concerns about his advancing age.
