FALCON POWERS – Dozens of Israelis, including reserve soldiers and individuals from families of prisoners in Gaza, staged a protest on Friday outside the residence of Minister of War Benny Gantz in the Ras Al-Ein area.
The demonstrators called on Gantz and his party, “Blue and White,” to immediately withdraw from the coalition government, stating that “remaining in this failed government is a betrayal of the public who had hoped for correction and change.”
Einav Tzingoker, the mother of prisoner Matan in Gaza, who participated in the protest, stated, “Gantz entered with the goal of achieving the war’s objectives, but 133 hostages are still in Gaza, and Hamas has not been weakened. If the reason for Gantz and Eisenkot’s continued presence is to rehabilitate Netanyahu’s approach to the deal, there is no reason for them to continue sitting at the table.”
She added, “If Gantz abandons my son and the other hostages without informing us, then let him have the audacity to admit that he has also failed to bring back the captives.”
Opposition leader Yair Lapid renewed his call yesterday for Minister of War Benny Gantz and Gadi Eisenkot to withdraw from the emergency government led by Benjamin Netanyahu.
Lapid stated, “I call on Gantz and Eisenkot to withdraw from the government because they are keeping a failed government alive.”
