Russia Advances Rapidly on the Eastern Front of Ukraine, Seizes New Village

FALCON POWERS – Russia announced on Sunday that it has taken control of the village of Novobakhmutivka on the eastern front, where Russian forces have rapidly advanced in the past week against the Ukrainian army.

The Russian Ministry of Defense stated in its daily report, “Through active operations, units of the Central Group of Forces liberated the village of Novobakhmutivka,” which is located northwest of the city of Avdiivka, previously captured by Moscow in February.

This village is situated near the village of Uchirtyn, which Russian forces quickly seized this week, currently holding the majority of it, according to observers. This has prompted criticism from Ukrainian military bloggers. The “DeepState” channel, followed by over 700,000 people on Telegram, blamed the responsibility on Brigade 115 Ali, considering it the reason for the “collapse of defenses throughout the region, resulting in significant losses.”

Ukrainian forces have been facing Russian advances on the front since the fall of Avdiivka, as Moscow controls territory against an opponent lacking manpower and ammunition.

In April, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrsky acknowledged a “significant deterioration” in the situation on the eastern front. He stated that he has witnessed a “significant intensification” of Russian attacks since March, leading to “tactical successes.”

In another development, the spokesperson for the Kremlin pointed to growing panic among Ukrainian forces on the frontlines, emphasizing the need for Russia to maintain this momentum.

Peskov stated in a press interview, “There, on the other side, panic is growing, and it is very important for us to maintain this momentum. It is crucial not to stop and follow the path of implementing special military operations.”
