Russia: Israel’s Objectives in the Gaza War Have Not Been Achieved

FALCON POWERS – Dmitry Polyanskiy, Russia’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, stated that Israel has not achieved any of the objectives of its military operation in Gaza, and noted that Washington is doing everything in its power to prevent the accountability of Israeli leaders.

In an interview with the Novosti agency, Polyanskiy said: “Israel has absolutely no incentive to end the ongoing war that has been raging for 7 months, and has not achieved any of the goals announced by the Prime Minister of the Occupation, Benjamin Netanyahu.”

He added: “It is particularly worrying that the lives of Hamas prisoners are at serious risk, and Israel is not taking any action to resolve the problem.”

He pointed out that the United States refuses to put pressure on Israel despite the tools at its disposal, “and instead criticizes any calls to hold the Israeli leadership accountable for the nature of its actions in the Gaza Strip.” He said, “The United States is trying to downplay the scale and impact of Israel’s practices and opposes any attempts to bring it to justice, and opposes as much as possible the idea of a ceasefire…

They have done everything in their power to undermine efforts to grant Palestine full membership in the United Nations. These practices reveal their true face and intentions towards Gaza and Israel.”
