Spain to Join South Africa’s Lawsuit Against Israel

Falcon powers – The Spanish Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, announced that Madrid will join South Africa’s lawsuit against Israel’s operations in the Gaza Strip before the International Court of Justice.

Albares stated, “It seems that the application of the International Court of Justice’s precautionary measures against Israel is still far away,” and that the decision to join the lawsuit was made to assist the court.

With this, Spain will become the second European country to join the case, after Ireland. Chile and Mexico have also joined the lawsuit.
