Study: 70% of sex buyers and sellers in Sweden are of immigrant origin

Falcon powers – This study reflects a complex and multidimensional situation that requires a comprehensive study to understand the motives, causes and consequences of this phenomenon in a country like Sweden, which enjoys absolute freedoms in establishing relationships, and the law even protects and society supports them. But why do crimes of buying emerge?

An investigation conducted by the widely circulated Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet showed that more than 70% of those accused of buying sex crimes are non-Swedish citizens living in Sweden, and also that most of the sex sellers are non-Swedes, as their percentage exceeds 80%, according to the rulings issued in the spring of 2024.

A Ukrainian sex worker told the newspaper, “There is a war in Ukraine now and there are no jobs. I have a child and I have to support my family somehow.” This reflects the ease of resorting to practicing the oldest profession in history, as it is the fastest and easiest way to make money.
