FALCON POWERS – The Swedish government said on Wednesday that it has agreed with its supporting party on a framework to provide additional military support to Ukraine totaling 75 billion Swedish kronor ($7.01 billion) over three years.
The statement said, “To strengthen Sweden’s support for Ukraine and increase long-term expectations, the government and the Swedish Democratic Party have agreed on a framework for military support to Ukraine between 2024 and 2026.” It noted that the total amount of 75 billion kronor will be divided equally over the three years. It added that the proposed increase, which is the total military support and other forms of support for Ukraine, will reach 100 billion kronor.
The statement also said that the military support under the new framework may include the provision of defense equipment, financial contributions, and financial support for the procurement of defense equipment.
