Tehran Holds Washington Responsible for Any Potential Israeli Invasion of Lebanon and Threatens It with “Hell”

FALCON POWERS – The Acting Iranian Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, said that Washington will share the responsibility with Tel Aviv if it invades Lebanese territory, warning of sinking into a swamp of more serious risks.

During a meeting of the Security Council, he referred to the “Israeli aggression against Lebanon” as something that “will be met with a strong response from the international community.”

He added: “The responsibility of the United States as a strategic ally (of Israel)… cannot be denied.” He affirmed that “the United States’ claims that it supports peace in the Middle East are mere hypocrisy.”

He also explained that “the only way to restore stability in the region is to stop the aggression on the Gaza Strip.”

Ali Bagheri Kani said that “Israel cannot compensate for its defeats in Gaza by expanding the war to other areas at the regional level,” stressing that it “will sink into a much more serious swamp of risks.”

Ali Bagheri Kani warned, saying: “It is certain that Lebanon will be a hell of no return for the Zionists.”

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, during a meeting of the UN Security Council, said that Israel’s neighbors, including Lebanon, are threatened with being drawn into a widespread confrontation with it, stressing the need for an open dialogue to stop the bloodshed in the region and reach a long-term settlement.

The border between Lebanon and Israel continues to witness ongoing tension and an exchange of shelling, amid international and UN efforts to contain the conflict, fearing its expansion into a full-scale war.
