The Al-Qassam Brigades announce killing and injuring a number of Israeli soldiers east of the Jabalia camp

Falcon powers – The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced on Friday the killing and injuring of Israeli soldiers after targeting an armored personnel carrier and a group of soldiers east of the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Al-Qassam Brigades said in a post on the Telegram platform that their fighters “were able to cut off the enemy’s supply line east of the Jabalia camp after targeting an armored personnel carrier with a Yassin 105 shell and showered a group of enemy soldiers with machine gun fire of the BKC type, causing them casualties between killed and wounded, and forcing the enemy to change the supply line for its penetrating forces several times.”

In another post, they added that their fighters “were able to infiltrate behind the lines of the enemy’s penetrating forces east of the Jabalia camp and targeted a Merkava tank with a Yassin 105 shell and an armored personnel carrier.”

They continued, “The mujahideen also blew up a tunnel entrance with another armored personnel carrier after it arrived at the site.”

The Israeli side has not issued an immediate comment on the Al-Qassam statements as of 10:05 GMT.

Over the past two days, the Israeli army has acknowledged the killing of 5 of its soldiers and the injury of more than 40 soldiers, as the battles intensify north and south of the Strip.

Until Thursday, the number of injured soldiers announced in the ground battles since last October 27 reached 1,723, according to army data.

As for the dead, the announced data indicate that 626 Israeli officers and soldiers were killed, including 278 in the ground battles in Gaza, according to the army, which faces local accusations of concealing a much larger toll of its dead and wounded.

The Israeli forces continue to storm the Jabalia camp for the sixth day, and carry out a series of raids that targeted all areas of the camp, in addition to intense gunfire from the penetrating vehicles towards Palestinian homes, according to eyewitnesses.

Since October 7, Israel has been waging a war on Gaza that has left more than 114,000 between killed and injured, mostly children and women, and about 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of children and the elderly.

Israel continues the war despite a resolution from the UN Security Council to stop the fighting immediately, and despite the International Court of Justice calling on it to take immediate measures to prevent “genocide” and improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
