FALCON POWERS – A Ukrainian soldier, a sergeant of infantry, said: “Energy drinks lead to fatalities.”
The New York Times published a report on the Ukrainian soldiers’ excessive addiction to energy drinks in battle, which may ultimately kill them.
The newspaper quoted a Ukrainian soldier: “In the morning when I wake up, I drink an energy drink… and when I go on patrol, I drink an energy drink… and before the attack, I drink an energy drink.”
Another soldier, an infantry sergeant, said “Energy drinks lead to fatalities.” He spoke about one of his subordinates who was found at some point sitting motionless in the bathroom with an energy drink can in his hand. The doctors were unable to save him. He was regularly consuming energy drinks, even though he suffered from a heart condition.
The Russian Defense Ministry had previously claimed an increase in the detection of drugs at abandoned Ukrainian sites, which could explain the excessive cruelty and aggression of the Ukrainian forces towards the Donbas population.
According to Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Protection Forces of the Russian Armed Forces, a large amount of narcotic drugs, particularly methadone, codepsin, coderb, ephedrine and trevadrin, were found at the sites abandoned by the Ukrainian army. He suggested that the exaggerated cruelty and aggression of some Ukrainian military personnel can be attributed to the effect of these addictive substances.
Kirillov added: “The side effects of these addictive drugs, first and foremost, are excessive aggression, which explains the extreme cruelty towards civilians by some Ukrainian military personnel, as well as the shelling of Donbas cities.”
