FALCON POWERS – After the attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania, ministers in the Israeli occupation government commented on the incident and did not forget to link the situation to Israel, according to the newspaper “Israel Hayom”.
Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karei wrote that “the attempted assassination of President Trump comes after the continuous incitement against him in the United States,” and linked the situation to Israel, adding that “the situation in Israel is doubly dangerous.”
He added, “The dangerous incitement against the Prime Minister, his wife, and his son has become closer to being realized than ever before.”
Settlement Minister Orit Strock, in reference to the assassination attempt in the United States, said: “We have no enforcement against the threats directed at the Israeli Prime Minister, and I have requested a detailed report discussion, and if it were the other way around, there would be arrests and newspaper headlines. I want to receive a report from the security and executive agencies and present a mirror to the Attorney General and the Head of the Shin Bet.”
Israeli Transport Minister Miri Regev said that “the attempted assassination of presidential candidate Trump is the result of incitement that has exceeded all limits against a political opponent. “Unfortunately, even here in Israel, there is a dangerous campaign of incitement against Prime Minister Netanyahu and the elected officials of the right.”
She said, “We see incitement from frustrated former members, friends of the military council, in the indifference of most of the media and the silence of the opposition – they have crossed all red lines. Do not say that we did not warn, the writing is on the wall with us!”
In turn, Israeli Education Minister Yoav Kish expressed his fear of repeating the incident of the Prime Minister’s assassination: “Given all the incitement and hatred that is not being addressed, the behavior that exceeds all limits without any treatment by the law enforcement apparatus – the idea that this can happen again in Israel cannot be ignored.”
