“This is Not True”: Sisi Warns Egyptians

FALCON POWERS – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi issued a warning to his citizens on Sunday during a graduation ceremony for a new class of police academy students.

Addressing the Egyptian people, he said, “I assure you that we are fine, and things are stable and improving, as long as we remain steadfast, united, and resilient in Egypt, confident that we are managing our affairs in a way that preserves our country and ensures stability in the region as much as possible, without getting involved in matters that could affect the security and stability of our country and the region.”

Sisi urged Egyptians to “pay close attention, as the amount of lies, slander, and rumors has been enormous in recent months. Remember that you are the resilient ones in the region, and the rumors, lies, and accusations being spread have no basis in truth. They are saying a lot that is not correct.”

He added, “I am always straightforward and honest with you, and I will continue to be so throughout my presidency.” The Egyptian president further stated, “Are the developments in the region causing anxiety among the Egyptian people? Without a doubt, we should be concerned because the developments are serious and could lead to an expansion of conflict, affecting the stability of the region.”
