FALCON POWERS – The former Republican presidential candidate and U.S. President Donald Trump attacked Vice President Kamala Harris, describing her as a “homeless” person responsible for the influx of immigrants across the U.S.-Mexico border during her tenure in the Biden administration, according to Fox News.
Trump made the comments about Harris at a conference called the “Turning Point Summit” in West Palm Beach, Florida. Trump said, “Three weeks ago, she was homeless, a failed Vice President, and a failed administration with millions of people crossing the border…, and now they’re trying to say she was never that way at all.” He added that during his presidency, the country had the best border security ever.
According to the U.S. website, Trump mispronounced Harris’ name and seemed to have difficulty pronouncing it, saying “there are many ways to pronounce her first name.” He added, “By the way, there are many ways to pronounce her name… it doesn’t matter what I say… I don’t care if I pronounce it wrong or not… I don’t care at all,” and continued, “Some people think I pronounce it deliberately wrong, but I actually heard it said in seven different ways… there are many ways.”
Trump said, “If you want to save America, gather your friends and family and everyone you know and vote on Election Day… I don’t care how, but you have to go out and vote… and again.” Trump also confirmed that he appointed three Supreme Court justices – Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett – and said he “will appoint strong conservative judges again who will protect religious freedoms and not allow the Marxist lunatics to rewrite our Constitution.”
In response, the Harris campaign criticized Trump’s speech, describing it as “bitter” and “strange.” The campaign’s spokesperson, James Singer, said in a statement, “Last night, Donald Trump could not pronounce the words, insulted the faith of American Jews and Catholics, lied about the elections (again), and lied about other things.”
