Falcon powers – The Israeli army announced on Monday evening that two officers were killed and another was seriously injured in an explosion inside a building near the settlement of “Netzarim” in central Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued under the title “Permitted for Publication,” the army stated, “The two fighters, Sergeant Aido Abib from Kiryat Yam and Sergeant Cal Kidan Meiri, were killed yesterday in an explosion in a building where they were staying near the Netzarim crossing in northern Gaza Strip.”
The statement added, “Two other fighters were injured, one of them seriously, and they were evacuated by helicopter to the hospital for medical treatment.”
The newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” reported that the killing of the soldiers and the injury of the third in Netzarim in Gaza yesterday occurred due to an explosion, either caused by an anti-tank missile or mortar shells, as a building housing reserve forces collapsed. The Israeli army is still investigating the matter.
On the other hand, the Israeli army radio reported that the attack in Netzarim resulted in the killing of two soldiers and the injury of four others when a part of a building collapsed on the soldiers due to a large explosion that occurred during clashes with members of the Al-Qassam Brigades.
Since the start of the ground operation in Gaza on October 17th last year, approximately 263 soldiers from the Israeli army have been killed, and since the start of the war on October 7th, 2023, a total of 608 soldiers have been killed.
Yesterday evening, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced the shelling of the headquarters of the Israeli army’s command in the Netzarim axis south of Gaza City with heavy mortar shells.
The Brigades also announced the luring of a large Israeli force into a minefield made up of unexploded Israeli rockets, in the railway street in the Maghraqa area in the middle of the Gaza Strip.
The Al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement through its channel on “Telegram,” “The Qassam fighters lure an infiltrated Zionist force and trap it in a minefield using explosive devices and F16 missiles that were launched at civilians and did not explode in the railway street in the Maghraqa area in the middle of the Gaza Strip.”
