UK Parliament Approves Law on Deporting Migrants to Rwanda

FALCON POWERS – The UK Parliament has approved a law on deporting migrants to Rwanda, putting an end to months of stagnation, debate, and controversy surrounding this decision.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced in a press conference that the decision and the new law aim to put an end to the wave of migrants crossing the English Channel in small boats.

The current legislation, known as the Rwanda Safeguarding Bill, emphasizes the safety of migrants being sent to Rwanda. After signing a new treaty with Rwanda to enhance the protection of migrants, it confirms that Rwanda is a safe country for the deportation of migrants from the UK.

Under the new law, migrants seeking asylum who arrive through irregular routes, such as crossing the English Channel from France to the UK, will be transferred. These migrants will be screened, and those who need further assessment and investigation will be placed in camps before being sent to Rwanda to await a decision on their asylum application.
