FALCON POWERS – The Israeli National Security Minister, Itamar Ben Gvir, attacked the way Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to hundreds of missiles fired by Hezbollah into northern Israel from southern Lebanon.
In a post on the X platform, Ben Gvir said, “Tonight Netanyahu is holding another ‘security consultation’,” suggesting that the response to the launch of hundreds of missiles (by Hezbollah) should not be just a “surgical operation.” Ben Gvir addressed Netanyahu, saying, “The excuses are over… you are the Prime Minister, and you can no longer hide behind (Benny) Gantz and (Gadi) Eisenkot.”
Hezbollah had launched more than 200 Katyusha rockets towards Israeli territory yesterday, some of which reached the area of the Sea of Galilee, in retaliation for the killing of a Hezbollah leader, Taha Sami Abdallah, in an Israeli airstrike near Tyre in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah also targeted the Israeli army’s air control unit on Mount Meron, a strategic target for the attack, as well as the headquarters of the Northern Command in Safed.
Israeli media considered the bombardment carried out by the party on areas in northern Israel as the most intense and violent.
