White House: We Support Release of Hostages “Through Negotiations or Other Means”

FALCON POWERS – U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan praised the operation carried out by Israeli forces earlier on Saturday, which resulted in the liberation of 4 detainees from the custody of Hamas in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement, Sullivan said that the United States supports all efforts to secure the release of the remaining detainees held by Hamas, including American citizens, whether through ongoing negotiations or “other means”.

Sullivan considered that the release of the detainees and the ceasefire agreement currently on the table would ensure the release of all remaining detainees held by the Palestinian factions, in addition to security guarantees for Israel and relief for innocent civilians in Gaza.

He affirmed that this deal has the full support of Washington, as it has been endorsed by countries around the world, including the G7, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, the UAE, and Qatar, in addition to 16 countries whose citizens are still being held by Hamas.
