FALCON POWERS – The Swedish Migration Agency has granted the Iraqi extremist Stolan Momika, known for burning copies of the Quran and insulting Islamic symbols, a new temporary residence permit on June 1, 2024. The Migration Agency said that deporting Momika to his home country of Iraq would risk him being subjected to torture and ill-treatment.
The temporary residence permit granted to Stolan Momika is for a duration of one year, after which his case will be reviewed. It is likely that it will be extended for another year when it expires, and this type of one-year residency is considered an exceptional type of residency granted under the clause of “difficulty in implementing the deportation decision”.
However, this residency does not grant the holder, the extremist Stolan Momika, any rights in Sweden, only the right to stay with asylum seeker benefits, and he cannot.
Momika had decided to leave Sweden after the Migration Agency’s decision to revoke his residency and deport him, and he went to Norway, which imprisoned him and deported him back to Sweden after the Norwegian authorities refused to grant him asylum and deported him.
37-year-old Momika was behind a large number of Quran burning gatherings in various parts of Sweden, leading to many disturbances that resulted in an investigation into him and the revocation of his residency in Sweden due to the discovery that he lied when applying for asylum in Sweden and visited Iraq, his country of origin, more than once, despite coming to Sweden seeking protection from his home country Iraq due to his political positions.
